PRESS: USC may get back 7 bln rbl for non-delivered equipment

MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov has ordered the government to consider repaying around 7 billion rubles to United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) it prepaid for the foreign equipment that was not delivered because of the Western sanctions, Vedomosti business daily reported on Friday.

The orders were made under a state program for investment quotas in force since 2017. The Federal Fisheries Agency distributes rights for the catch of certain amounts of fish and crabs between the fisheries in exchange for construction of fishing ships or processing plants, Vedomosti reported.

Manturov chaired a meeting to discuss the problem on December 30, 2022, and ordered his deputy Viktor Yevtukhov and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov to solve the problem by January 31, 2023, the business daily said.
